5 Lessons To Start Learning To Play Guitar
Most of us, when the year is about to end, or sometimes on January first, we decide to sit down and write our resolutions for the upcoming year. Without a question for most people is to start learning something new, like learning to play guitar or any other musical instrument.
Well, learning to play guitar online is not different from anything else that you would like to learn, the most difficult part is the beginning. Of course, you do need to put some effort when starting to play guitar, but also you need to make enough time to practice. One thing that makes the process of learning to play guitar easier is the internet, now you can sign up online and start learning guitar with easy video lessons.
So, what is lesson number one? Get your own guitar. Sounds pretty obvious, but some people usually what they do, they know someone who has a guitar and they borrow it to learn. Unless the person that borrows you the guitar has another guitar, this is not a very good idea, because eventually he or she will want his or her guitar back and you are going to interrupt your learning process.
As lesson number two, you need to learn to keep your guitar tuned up, everybody hates the sound of a guitar with a broken string or that is not tuned up, take that into consideration. By keeping your guitar tuned up all the time, little by little you will educate your ear and recognize if your guitar is tuned up or if it is not, and eventually you will recognize the note by hearing them.
A third lesson for you, learning how to play guitar chords. This step is one of the most important ones, since after you learn the chords, you will be able to play easy songs, and this is when you begin to have fun with the guitar. The basic chords are the following: C – D – E – F -D -G-A-B, now this are the major chords the ones that I am talking about. Later on, start playing some easy songs and perhaps you’ll realize that you also have a singing voice, which would be cool.
A fourth lesson when learning guitar would be to learn a couple of scales, easy scales and you can use them as warm up exercises eventually and your fingers will begin to gain some speed.
Lesson number five: Get a good teacher or a great guitar course online. If you have someone that can personally help you that is great, but if you do not, there are some great alternatives online that are a real time and money saver to continue your learning process. Remember, to continue practicing is the only way to learn to play guitar.
Stick to a course, you’ll improve a lot faster that I you just go song after song. After you learn a thing or two, start considering if you want to learn blues guitar or jazz guitar, you could believe that is hard, but you will be a more complete guitar player with more knowledge. Have a great day my friend, enjoy your guitar.
